Lately i've been thinking a lot of where I want to be in life and my future. Especially now that I have two kids. There isn't a day that passes that I don't think "what is it I got do to today to get closer to my tomorrow?" or "what or how can i make money doing what i love or with my God given talent to bring me to my success?" Sometimes i get so jaded to how others think, their ways and their choices they make in their life. I mean i'm not trying to judge but i'm tired of hearing about all their negativity that brings them down. Because in the end it brings me down. I just feel that many people don't realize the opportunities in life that they can do or have. Opportunity is right where you are.... If that, makes any sense. It's all about your actions and not your what ifs that get you to your success or to happiness. I chose a life for me. I know that i may be distant to a lot of people right now but this is what's right for me. You have to run congruent to where you want to be and that even means people. The choices of today will bring your tomorrow.
For example, I chose to live straight edge. Like i've struggled in my life to be sober but i figured this is just right. I've cleaned up my act and sometimes look back to a year ago to where I was and think "damm what the hell was i thinking". lol. seriously! But i wouldn't take one thing back that happened or I experienced because it's made me who I am today. A whole lot stronger. I see the brighter side of things and wake up in the morning enjoying the sunshine instead of being that night owl. lol.
Anyway, along the topic of opportunities I've been blessed with a lot of them the past couple months and I am truly thankful...
I strongly agree with the saying "if you put your heart, soul and love into something you will get it all back" And so far it has worked for me. I've sacrificed a lot sometimes even my sanity but in the end doors of opportunity open up for me.
Practicing patience, sacrifice, staying humble and being true to myself.... is my way in life :)
Recently I was offered to do make-up for a short film by Beto of Moon Cricket Productions for Ford Motor's Ford Fiesta 2011. It was dope!!! I did it at The Head Hunters 10 year anniversary @ San Jose State. Here check it out! I did make-up for Tara Pruitt in the bboy scene. She is a sweet heart... This film was also featured at the AMC Santa Monica 7 right before the Iron Man 2 movie.... awesome huh? Well, check it out and Please leave a comment. Also if you can please vote by texting "La Lucid" to 44144 once before June 14 for them to win the contest and you can also win prizes :) I really hope they win! Thanks Beto for this opportunity! I can NOW say that i've accomplished one of my dreams.... To be featured in a film.. And this is just the beginning :)

Well thanks for following another day in my journey................ I'm going to end it with sharing a saying i've been living by lately...
"No more wasted days, Only productive ways"-gem
